Feel Better Functional Nutrition
Scope of Practice
Feel Better Functional Nutrition is a nutrition coaching practice, not a medical practice. Here's what that means for you.
I hold a PN-1 certification through Precision Nutrition. This qualifies me to coach clients on nutrition habits, lifestyle changes, and general wellness goals. It does not qualify me to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease or medical condition, including SIBO, SIFO, IBS, or any other digestive or health condition.
Coaching with me is not a substitute for care from a physician, registered dietitian, gastroenterologist, or other licensed medical provider. I don't diagnose or treat medical conditions, interpret medical test results, or prescribe or adjust medications. I may recommend general nutrition-focused supplements (such as vitamin D or B vitamins) to help address gaps in your diet, as part of a broader coaching approach. This isn't a substitute for guidance from your doctor, especially if you're managing a diagnosed condition or taking medication. If you're currently working with a doctor or specialist, I recommend continuing that care alongside our coaching, and I'm always glad to work in a way that supports it.
If something we discuss suggests you may need medical attention, I'll recommend you see a licensed provider rather than continuing to coach around it.
By working with me, you understand that coaching is educational and supportive in nature, and that any changes to your diet, supplements, exercise, or medication should be discussed with your doctor first, especially if you have an existing health condition or are taking medication.
